The removable Chill Mat is a cooling stand with two built-in fans, which keep the computer running at optimum processing temperature.

Thanks to idea of developing a modular stand, the device can hold the computer in a comfortable position with multiple viewing heights that you can adjust at any moment, according to your position, while the other stuff from your workspace can be arranged in the additional storage.

Targus AWE14US laptop stand with cooling fans comes in grey with smart cable-management and has a size of 13 x 15 x 8 inches.
It is available at a price of $59.99.

Thinnest and Lightest Notebook of 17 Inches Comes from Apple

With a 17-inch large display and 8 hours of battery life supporting up to 1,000 recharges, the new Apple MacBook Pro high-end notebook computer introduced at the beginning of this month enabled practically double the lifespan of standard Dell’s batteries, which leads to three years of operation.

Covered in the aluminum chassis characterizing all Apple’s notebook computers, the new 17-inch MacBook Pro brings a LED backlit screen of 1920 x 1200 pixels, the Multi-Touch trackpad, backlit keyboard, NVIDIA graphics card, and a 2.93 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
It is just 0.98 inches thick at 6.6 pounds which makes it the world’s thinnest and lightest 17-inch notebook computer.

Internal components include 8GB DDR3 system memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics, additional NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics, a 320GB 5400 rpm hard drive with Sudden Motion Sensor, a 320GB 7200 rpm hard drive, optional 256GB solid state drive, Mini DisplayPort, slot-load 8X SuperDrive with double-layer support, Mini DisplayPort for video output, built-in AirPort Extreme 802.11n wireless networking, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Gigabit Ethernet port, built-in iSight video camera, 3 USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire 800 port, ExpressCard slot, and many others.

The price was set at $2,799.

"We've developed new battery technology that is better for the user and better for the environment," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "Apple's advanced chemistry and innovative technology deliver up to eight hours of use on a full charge cycle and up to 1,000 recharges."

Slim and Stylish USB Powered External Hard Drive

Hmm, should you get a standard 64GB USB Flash drive for $200, or this stylish Newsmy Compact Mobile Hard Drive with 20GB storage capacity for $32.99?

Well, a USB Flash drive has a smaller form factor and can be carried inside your shirt’s pocket, but this USB-powered external hard drive is maybe the slimmest in the world and sports also this attractive metallic finish, looking like a brushed metal plate.

It connects and powers from your laptop’s USB 2.0 port without the need to install any special software. With it you can transport small amounts of data with you everywhere you go.

Specifications include 1.8 inches thickness, ATA interface, FAT32 file system, up to 480 Mbps transfer speeds, support for Windows up to Vista and Mac operating systems, and a total size of 96 x 58 x 6 mm.

USB Flash Drive Pendant

In this image on the left side you see a genuine Swarovski Heart Ware USB Memory Key of 1GB available online at the Swarovski store for $180, while on the right side is the 8GB USB Flash Drive Necklace imitation, which can be purchased at EUR 21.63.

While the genuine USB Flash drive with Swarovski crystals can be worn around your neck like a jewel using the included ceramic-plastic strap, the cheap USB Flash drive model, which seems to be a pretty good imitation made of brushed metal and decorated with crystals, comes with a stylish metal chain measuring 29 inches in length.

The 8GB USB Flash Drive Necklace made in China is compatible with any computer running any operating system and would be a great alternative for those of you who don’t want to spend more money on a genuine Swarovski pendant with built-in USB Flash drive

Dell's Slick Studio Laptops

Dell has announced at CES that it's updating its popular Studio line with some attractive new models, namely the Studio XPS 13 and 16. The emphasis here is on style plus functionality: These multimedia laptops have a bit of leather trim here, a backlit keyboard there, and a whole lot of plugs, ports, and features crammed in.

Though I haven't had any quality one-on-one time with the sweet-sounding Studio XPS 13 (more on that model in a sec), a reviewable version of the Studio XPS 16 found its way into our labs. Take a minute to read my full hands-on report on the Studio XPS 16, and then come back to read about what's different in the 13.

Your final decision will depend on the financial resources, taste and, of course, the need to have a permanent makeover or just something temporary fo

The story behind the new 13.3-inch Apple laptops is long and full of innovative ideas covering not only design aspects but also the number of new unique functionalities, placed carefully together to create a powerful mobile system with environmentally-friendly construction.

Browsing through the specifications list we discover a new element called “the unibody enclosure”. This refers at the fact that the new Apple MacBook is encased in a single piece of aluminum created with absolute precision from a solid block of aluminum, using a process encountered in the aerospace industry.
<-125x125 Button - right->
It was complicate to do it, but the result seems impressive. The new Apple laptops come in a thinner and lighter form factor with a stylish metal finish, as well as durable construction. The measure 0.95 x 12.78 x 8.94 inches at 4.5 pounds.
To keep the laptop thin and at the same time provide the best viewing experience, Apple decided to use LED backlight. This technology enables high brightness, thinner construction and eliminates metal frames that sometimes could distract the user from the images on screen.Apple added the new large MacBook trackpad model with multi-touch support for tracking, clicking in all directions, and gestures such as swipe, pinch, rotate, and 4-finger swipe. The sensitivity level was carefully chosen by the engineers, as well as the audio feedback for clicks and friction over the glass surface with smooth finish.

Many internal components in the new Apple laptops were redesigned, such as the new logic board, the chipset, integrated graphics processor, and so on. For example, now you have the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M card that provides up to 5 times the graphics performance of the previous MacBooks, but with the same battery life.

About the green aspect of the new MacBook models we can tell you that they don't have mercury and arsenic in the display, thanks to the LED backlight technology, which requires 30% less power compared to the standard CCFL displays with backlight.
In addition, Apple removed all bromine and chlorine from the manufacturing, plus it reduced the packaging size with 41%. Almost all components in the new Apple laptops are recyclable, according to the company.
Moving to the keyboard, we find again the backlight feature for comfortable typing in low light environments.

Inside there are a 320GB hard drive, an optional 128GB Solid State Drive with no moving parts, a fast DVD burner, 2 USB ports, one Mini DisplayPort for external displays, the MagSafe power port with safety properties, Kensington lock slot, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1066MHz DDR3 fast memory, 802.11n wireless support for high-speed transfers, 5 hours battery life, Bluetooth, compatibility with the optional Apple Wireless Keyboard and wireless Mighty Mouse, the iSight web camera foe video conferences, up to 4GB system memory, built-in stereo speakers, and an omnidirectional microphone.

The new Apple laptops have Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard operating system pre-installed with lots of useful and cool applications, as well as the iLife ’08 equipped with iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, iWeb, and GarageBand.

You have a few configuration options to choose from, with prices ranging between $999 and $1,599.

Pink Apple Macintosh Laptop

<-125x125 Button - right->
We know that many of you are searching for a pink Apple Macintosh laptop computer and that there are many sites claiming to provide information on how to get one, but they just tell you long stories forgetting the essential part, which is to tell you exactly where to find them.
Unfortunately, Apple didn't provide colored laptop computers after the special edition of the iBook Clamshell, but after doing some research over the Internet, we found some good solutions to help you create your own pink Apple Macintosh laptop, which is called customization.
First we’ll start with some cool shells that stretch on the laptop, just like those transparent cases for cell phones. This method will give the look of color shades on the aluminum surface of the laptops, and the best models are those from Speck.
Speck’s SeeThru hard plastic pink shells for Macbooks are of high quality and offer access to all the ports, as well as non-slip rubber feet. They protect the laptop from dirt, dust and spills, and are very easy to clean, covering the system only on the exterior.
After using one of these enough time to be sure you’ll still love pink in the future, you can go to the next level of customization and browse through the ColorWare web pages in search for a pink Apple Macintosh laptop design. There you can choose from 3 pink tones – Cotton Candy, Romance, which is paler, and Blush - the most By using a metallic or solid finish for the color and spending $450, your pink Apple Macintosh laptop gets a scratch-resistant layer on the exterior and on the interior part, excepting the touchpad and the keyboard surface, which will remain white. You can combine pink with other colors for specific parts of the system as well.

Another solution for having a pink Apple Macintosh laptop is to apply skins, and I’d like to recommend you to try the designer skins from GelaSkins. You’ll spend $29.95 for a unique design like Just Cause You Feel It by Steven Daily, or Shore by Lawrence Yang, and you’ll get a skin with a pink background and impressive drawings. All their skins are removable and use the 3M Technology to be easy applicable on the laptop’s surface, leaving no residue after removal. The material they are made of is scratch-resistant, with an anti- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraviolet UV coating.
elegant pink tone.
Your final decision will depend on the financial resources, taste and, of course, the need to have a permanent makeover or just something temporary for your pink Apple Macintosh laptop.

Swarovski Crystal Macbook Air

If we got used to decorate all our electronic devices with Swarovski crystals why not to try it with MacBook Air too?
Don’t worry, it will still remain the world’s thinnest notebook; guys from
Crystal Icing did it and you can see the result in the picture, while the second image is of a standard laptop available at $2,000, but I liked its look and wanted to show it to you

For the MacBook Air here were used 1/2 pound of colored crystals and the difference between its original thickness and the actual one is of just 1/9 part of an inch so it’s not a big deal.

On this cool website you can arrange the tiny precious stones and you like and form some impressive image. Of course, you will only have to choose what the final result would look like and the Crystal Icing team will send it to you wherever you live.
Since 2005 they are decorating a diversity of electronics using only 100% Genuine Swarovski Crystals.
You may check the models for yourselves.

MacBook Air in Black

Maybe there is no relationship between the air and the black color.
The clean air has to be associated with white or no color but the black MacBook Air looks too cool to not be mentioned on LaptopsArena doesn’t it?

But ColorWare has other colors for it too, like green, blue, pink and red and you can customize it as you like.

You can choose which parts to get colored, from screen back, monitor frame, keypad panel, bottom, logo or trackpad button, and it is not only about the aspect but also about the protective colored layer which adds a glossy, scratch resistant finish that won’t fade or decolorize during normal use.

To make your MacBook Air metallic black you have to pay a price of $500, which means cheap if compared with the system’s cost.

Apple unveils its latest innovation

Apple has already made waves with its iPod, iPhone and trendy desktop computers, but last night the company threw out a new challenge to its competitors, the world's thinnest laptop.

The secretive Silicon Valley company confirmed the launch of the £1,199 Macbook Air, which measures just three-quarters of an inch (2cm) deep - thin enough to fit inside an envelope.

In his Macworld Expo keynote speech, speculation over which has been rife for weeks, chief executive Steve Jobs said Apple would try to take control of the video industry with movie rentals and a revamped Apple TV to stream films direct to television screens.

Until now iTunes customers have been able to buy movies outright, a business which has not been as successful as Apple's entry into music. Apple TV, which allows video to be streamed from a computer to a television screen, has struggled to make an impact. But Jobs predicted that a relaunch of the device would mark a significant shift in the film industry.

"On iTunes we've sold 125m TV shows, and we've sold 7m movies - it's more than everyone else put together, but it didn't meet our expectations," Jobs said. "I think we've got it right this time.

"We've all tried to figure out how to get movies over the internet and on to the TV - but we've all missed, no one has succeeded yet.

"We tried with Apple TV, but it's not what people wanted. So we're back with Apple TV take two - no computer is required. You can rent movies directly on your widescreen TV and you can rent them at DVD quality or you can rent then at high definition quality."

Costing $229 (£116), the system hooks into the company's plans to offer films to rent over the internet through its iTunes store, also confirmed yesterday. The company said it would join film studios including 20th Century Fox and Sony to allow iTunes users to stream movies direct to their computer or TV for a one-off payment of between $3 and $5.

The system will have 1,000 new titles and back catalogue films available by the end of February. It will start immediately in the US and in other territories later this year. "We're dying to get this international as well," Jobs said.

Similar in concept to the the BBC's iPlayer and Channel 4's on-demand service, Apple's systems will make downloads usable on iPods and iPhones as well as television sets.
